 (wine note from a trusted palate) 
 Food:   Scotch Fillet  
 Nose:  White pepper and Earthy aromas supports the hint of spice with hints 
  of raspberry then blackberry tones good balance.
 Colour: Good vibrant crimson colour
 Palate:  Very youthful palate with alluring 'fruits of the forest' flavours with hints of oak. 
  Good fruit and palate length tannins well balanced.
 Moreish:  Very pleasant wine from the region and should improve with medium bottle age 5 +yrs
 Richard Parker, the winemaker crossed with the Hilltops Estate fruit from Werrington vineyard,
 was perfection in the making. We asked Richard Parker, the winemaker, for an appraisal.
 He prefers to keep this short and to the point - "A classic Hilltops Shiraz showing red 
 and blackberry fruits with nice pepper and spice. A delicate wine with a fine long finish. 
 Aged for 12 months on French oak."

 We tasted our first bottle 30/3/2011 (release date) and we were both ecstatic at
 the depth and generosity, glycerine dripping off the inner glass, ink black, massive flavours, 
 enormous depth, just a sip at a time filled every flavour profile and lingered for minutes.

  top left to show you the control panel. At 12.5 deg Celsius constant, humidity 53 to 55, 
  24 hrs a day, 365 days a year, Grange will keep 50 years plus.
  Our advise for those who may compare prices over the web, make a careful check as to 
  the condition the wines are kept in, present and past. Having been the same owners since 
  1976 (33 years), we know and lived with our wines, whereas other older wines sold by 
  some traders maybe bought on the secondary market for re-sale, and who knows how 
  and where they were stored and more importantly, under what temperature variations. 
  
  Grange stored in uncontrolled space, has a failure rate of 50% in Canberra, 75% in 
  Brisbane. That is an easy way to tear up good $$$$$ and if they find their way on to 
  the secondary market and you buy them - then it is "Russian roulette".
