Our museum wines are kept at the BEST and most expensive cellaring conditions we know of.
We have taken a digital photo to show you the control panel. At 12.5 deg Celsius constant, humidity
53 to 55, 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year, Grange will keep 50 years plus.

All wines and labels are in pristine condition

Our advice for those who may compare prices over the web, make a careful check as to
the condition the wines are kept in, present and past. Having been the same owners
since 1976 (36 years), we know and lived with our wines. We have up to 15 dozen of the same wine
stored at these controlled temperatures.
Other sellers of older wines may have bought them on the secondary market for re-sale and most
times they only have one bottle with damaged labels, and who knows how and where they were
stored and more importantly, under what temperature variations. Are they cooked or oxidised?

Grange stored in uncontrolled space, has a failure rate of 50% in Canberra, 75% in Brisbane.
That is an easy way to tear up good $$$$$ if they were bought at auction.

It is not necessary to buy only famous labels, all the wines we have put away in our maturation
cellar are there for one reason - the wines are excellent.

You can mix single bottles from this Museum wine list with other wines you are buying.

The estate’s flagship offering, the 2002 Shiraz Graveyard, is a tightly-knit,

fabulous made to last wine, by a French star winemaker - Celine Rousseau

We tested a bottle July 2014 and made contact with Celine to congratulate her winemaking skills.
Her training in France certainly showed and easily surpassed a Henschke tested at the same time. Rich, elegant and lingering. 6/6
This was the pick of the evening (against '95 Keyneton). Trophy and Gold in 2003. It shows the expertise of a good winemaker,
using French and American oak, and quality grapes ripened fully. An elegant, full-flavoured wine with flavours of blueberries and spice.
We were delighted with the experience, and sent Celine Rousseau a message of congratulations.

ROBERT PARKER REVIEW OF THE 1995 (AND THE 1996 WAS A BETTER YEAR THAN 1995)
This impressive 1995 Shiraz boasts a saturated dense plum colour, oaky,
blackberry, peppery aromas, thick, concentrated, full-bodied flavours,
outstanding purity, and a long, chewy, oaky finish. A potentially
outstanding offering, the wine is accessible, but will be even better
after 2-4 years of cellaring; it will keep for 15 years.

ROBERT PARKER REVIEW

The 1997 Shiraz seemed civilized and restrained. It possesses a
dense dark ruby color with purple nuances. Notes of black fruits
(particularly berries) emerge from the moderately intense bouquet.
Not a blockbuster in the style of many Barossa Valley Shiraz, this
is an elegant, well-balanced, concentrated wine exhibiting excellent
purity, ripeness, and character. More aromatics will emerge with bottle
age.

"Impressive is the 1999 Shiraz Reserve, a 1,100-case cuvee aged
14 months in new American oak. The wine is a dense purple color,
with a sweet, almost blackberry liqueur nose, and smoke, licorice,
and oak in the background. Jammy and rich, with huge body, good
purity, adequate acidity, and a long finish, this is an impressive,
surprisingly large-scaled 1999. It should age well for 10-16 years."RobertParker.com

Fashioned from low yields of 1.27 tons of fruit per acre, the 2005 Shiraz
Alice’s is 100% Shiraz aged in American oak prior to being
bottled unfiltered. A strong effort for the vintage, it exhibits a deep
ruby/purple colour in addition to a sweet nose of blackberries, pepper, and
licorice, medium body, and a fine finish.

GREENOCK CREEK 2002 Shiraz APRICOT BLOCK 96 POINTS ROBERT PARKER ....$95.00 ...

The prodigious 2002 Shiraz Apricot Block (only 10-year-old vines) was produced
from fruit cropped at 1.5 tons per acre. Its big, peppery, floral, blueberry,
blackberry, pen ink, and vanillin-scented bouquet is followed by a wine with a
nervous energy that is totally in keeping with the cool 2002 vintage. Dense,
with great purity of fruit, a fabulously multi-layered, full-bodied palate, and
an inky finish with enormous concentration, sweet tannin, and superb overall balance,
this young, unevolved Shiraz should begin to strut its stuff in 3-4 years, and last
for two decades.

GREENOCK CREEK 2003 Shiraz APRICOT BLOCK 95 POINTS ROBERT PARKER....$95.00 ...

The 2003 Shiraz Apricot Block (fashioned from 11-year-old vines and also aged
28 months in American oak) offers rich aromas of creme de cassis, blackberries,
asphalt, pepper, and licorice. This full-bodied, rich, intense,
powerful (16.5% alcohol) cuvee is a classic, structured, clean, pure
red that should drink well for 12-15+ years.

GREENOCK CREEK 2004 Shiraz APRICOT BLOCK ....$95.00 ...

A very BIG wine, typical of the style loved by Robert Parker. It has many years
to go to reach its maturity, and will be worth the wait.

GREENOCK CREEK 2005 Shiraz APRICOT BLOCK ....$95.00 ...

GREENOCK CREEK 2002 Shiraz CREEK BLOCK [ 96 POINTS ROBERT PARKER ....$250.00 ...

The 1996 Shiraz Creek Block exhibits a dense purple color, and a spectacular
nose of roasted coffee intermixed with cassis, blackberries, licorice, and spice.
The wine displays amazing ripeness, an unctuous texture, full-bodied palate, and
a finish that lasts for 45+ seconds. Its high alcohol and tannin are nearly concealed
by the wine's amazing concentration. There are 100 cases of the Creek Block.
The wine is made from 60-year old Shiraz, having 15.8% alcohol. Anticipated maturity:
2000-2020. Although few readers will have a chance to try this wine, its name is
worth knowing as it is among the world's finest Shiraz. Anticipated maturity:
2002-2025.

GREENOCK CREEK 1997 Shiraz ROENNFELDT ROAD 98 POINTS ROBERT PARKER ....$400.00 ...

The nearly perfect 1997 Shiraz Roennfeldt Road boasts a dense opaque purple color
in addition to celestial aromas of blackberry liqueur, melted road tar, truffles,
and earth. It is full-bodied, with massive layers of fruit and glycerine that
cascade over the palate in a seamless, beautifully balanced fashion, and a 55-second
finish. This enormous wine is fabulously young with its entire future ahead of it.
It should hit its peak in 3-4 years, and last for two decades.

GREENOCK CREEK 1998 Shiraz ROENNFELDT ROAD 100 POINTS ROBERT PARKER ....$625.00 ...

The 1998 Shiraz Roennfeldt Road (235 cases) is made from yields of .75-1 ton of
fruit per acre. The wine possesses the concentration of the greatest classics
ever produced in such Bordeaux vintages as 1945, 1947, 1959, 1961, and 1982.
This is a full-bodied red with a finish that lasts well over 60 seconds. For
its size and concentration, it is, surprisingly, not heavy, just super-endowed.
The Shiraz is accessible, but still primary. Unfortunately, quantities are
extremely limited for this spectacular, world-class Australian red.

GREENOCK CREEK 1999 Shiraz ROENNFELDT ROAD 98 POINTS ROBERT PARKER ....$425.00 ...

There are 236 cases of the 1999 Shiraz Roennfeldt Road (also from 65-year-old vines).
Although it pushes ripeness to the limit, it does not reveal any raisiny/pruny
characteristics. It offers wonderful freshness, good acidity, superb intensity,
and copious quantities of blackberry, cassis, crushed rock, floral, and spicy new
oak notes. Massive and concentrated with perfect equilibrium, it can be drunk now
and over the next 25 years. Kudos to one of the world’s finest wine producers!
If I had to select the number one Australian winery, it would be hard not to choose
the Greenock Creek Winery, run by the humble, shy Michael and Annabelle Waugh.
The quality that emerges from this estate is extraordinary. In short, these are
thrilling, world-class wines that are about as compelling as wine can be.

45 seconds. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following

Other than the top cuvees of Penfolds' Grange, and the old vine
Grenache and Astralis from Clarendon Hills, no Australian wines are
richer than these offerings from Henschke - a winery that gets my
nod as one of Australia's two or three finest producers. Each of
these wines coats the mouth with glorious levels of jammy fruit,
extract, glycerin, and silky tannin. They are all dense ruby/purple-coloured,
full-bodied, and capable of lasting at least a decade, and in the case
of the 1991 Shiraz Hill of Grace, possibly 20+ years.
The 1991 Shiraz Hill of Grace Keyneton Vineyard is the most backward
of the Henschke wines, with an earthy minerality, and explosive black
fruits the likes of which are often seen in northern Rhone Valley wines
made from ancient vines. This huge, broodingly backward, muscular, brawny,
immensely concentrated yet formidably endowed wine requires another
4-5 years of cellaring; it should keep for 15-20 years. These are awesome
examples of what Australia is capable of producing.

Drew a bottle from our maturation cellar on 20/6/2012 and put it to the test. Robyn and John
kept patting each others back for taking the decision in building a maturation cellar which holds
over 3000 cases all held at 12.5 deg Celsius. It is a giant refrigerator and finds no friend in a
carbon tax. The electricity bill each month stiffens the back, however, the results we experience
in proper wine storage makes it all worth while.
This wine is now 15 years of age and we would love to be able to share the experience we are having
as we sip the wine while typing this note. The wine is fabulous and although a shiraz, gave both of us
hints of chocolate (odd), tangy pepper, totally balanced with lingering after taste.

We shared this with Kurt and Denise at Pomegranite, in Kingston. It was decanted, and could have taken another hour of air, as it just continued to improve in the glass. The colour was bright and intense, aromas of plummy fruit and vanillin oak invited, rich and mouth-filling with goooood length. Wonderful.2 Trophies and at least 1 gold medal.

July 2014 - Another bottle drawn from the cellar for a BYO dinner for four including Kurt and Denise. Age does not weary this extraordinary gem and it thrilled us all.

LEASINGHAM 1998 Shiraz Bin 61 MAGNUM 6 GOLDS STODART TROPHY 1999 Moreish 6/6 ....$200.00 ...

The notes above suggests the magnum will be something really special and we wait for the right occasion.

LINDEMANS 1988 Shiraz LIMESTONE RIDGE Moreish 6/6 ....$150.00 ...

We celebrated this wine’s 21st birthday over an excellent dinner at the
Water’s Edge Restaurant in Canberra in December 2009, where it accompanied
a memorable, rare Angus steak. Opening the bottle it immediately demonstrated
its character, as the cork (remember those things?) gave out a
lovely cigar box aroma that further developed as it sat in the glass.
The wine also put paid to the widely held view (at least as it was perceived
a couple of decades ago) that 1988 was not a particularly good year, as it
had held its colour, had a clean, enticing aroma and wonderful palate.
Personally, I have never been a great fan of the famed “cigar box” character
of some Australian reds, but I must admit that this wine won me over.
It was subtle but distinctive, and added a complexity that only high quality grapes,
correct winemaking, proper storage and age can impart, and we all loved it.
The other thing that struck me was the very long flavour, which held on to
the palate for ages and enabled us to sip and enjoy it, and make it last.
What a wine!" Danny Scorpecci from Paris, visiting Australia.

PRESENTATION BOX

RWT Shiraz was launched in May 2000 with the 1997 vintage. Its style is opulent &
rich, contrasting with GRANGE, which is more muscular. RWT is made from fruit selected
for its aromatic qualities & fine texture rather than sheer intensity or power of
flavour. The result is a wine that helps to define Barossa Shiraz at the highest
quality level.

ROBERT PARKER REVIEW

The elegantly-styled, restrained 1999 Shiraz RWT is an elegant example
of a Barossa Shiraz. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by a medium-bodied
wine offering up floral, raspberry, cherry, and currant aromas nicely dosed
with subtle wood. Enjoy this pure, refreshing 1999 over the next decade.

The pure, clean, lush 2000 Shiraz RWT’s aromas of black fruits, tar, and
creosote are followed by a full-bodied, accessible Shiraz with a long finish. |
Drink it over the next 7-8 years.

PENFOLDS 2001 Shiraz RWT 87 POINTS ROBERT PARKER....$200.00 ...

The 2001 Shiraz RWT reveals an attractive dense ruby/purple-tinged
color as well as an earthy, plum, cherry, and peppery-scented bouquet,
medium to full body, and slightly intrusive acidity. The fruit and weight
are such that the acidity is only a minor annoyance as opposed to dominating
the wine’s character and compressing its texture. While acceptable, it
could have been a lot better. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.

PENFOLDS 2002 Shiraz RWT 93 POINTS ROBERT PARKER....$200.00 ...

The outstanding 2002 Shiraz RWT is a 100% Shiraz, single region
(Barossa) offering that typically spends 14 months in a combination
of two-thirds new and one-third old French oak. Expansive and rich
with a broad texture, and a complex nose of white chocolate, raspberries,
black cherries, and licorice, this spicy, rich, medium-bodied, elegant
2002 should drink well for 10-12 years.

Fantastic value - we have multiple cases in storage
at 12.5 degrees C. and 55% humidity, and is in pristine condition.
The full and complex palate had ripe Shiraz flavours, integrated oak tannins
and a well balanced finish when initially tasted, vanillin oak complexity and
a fine backbone of tannin was coupled with soft, mouthfilling fruit flavour,
to provide a long, lingering finish. In 2000, this wine, a preferred Vintage,
displayed a powerfully concentrated palate with dark berry/aniseed flavours and
velvet textured tannins. Great wine, perfectly cellared, and getting better with
each visit! Loads of flavour and vanillin oak complexity
.

Outstanding - 2002 Sugarloaf Creek Vineyard Shiraz. The entrancingly
fragrant nose of blackberry, violets and pepper won the judges over
immediately. When it was followed by a fine, long, supple palate full

a certainty. This is a superb expression of cool area Australian shiraz.”

This is a Shiraz based wine, which as the name implies is Descendant of Run Rig.
This is a single vineyard wine that was planted with cuttings off the old Run Rig vineyards.
The Shiraz is crushed straight on top of the Viognier from the same vineyard, which
had been lightly pressed for Run Rig. The blend of fruit is then co-fermented and later
the wine is matured for 18 months in barrels that had been previously used for Run Rig.
The Descendant vineyard Shiraz expresses tar and black olive, offset wonderfully by
the jasmine and apricot aromatics which come from the Viognier.

The fruit for The Octavius 1999 was sourced from very old Barossa Shiraz vineyards, producing
low crops (1-2 Tonne per acre). With another perfect Eden growing season throughout 1998 and 1999,
the 1999 vintage promised to Valley be yet again of exceptional quality. The wine is intensely rich and
predominantly fruit driven. The colour is deep cherry red with purple hues and the nose is rich in violets,
cherries and plums, with hints of liquorice and a dusty smoky oak overtone. The palate explodes with sweet
fruit of plums and dark, juicy red berries. It is very well structured with tight and firm tannins, finishing
with a rich balanced extract that lingers deliciously. Alc/Vol 14.5%
The wine will cellar very well and see through at least 10 years.

The dark ruby/purple-colored 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon offers minty, black
currant flavors. Medium to full-bodied and firm, with moderate tannin,
sweet fruit, and a structured, tight finish, it requires 2-3 years of
cellaring, and should drink well for 10-12 years.

This wine's low-keyed, restrained aromatics and flavours may prove more exciting
to some readers. This wine exhibits an elegant, austere personality, with
moderate quantities of black currant fruit. It is made in a restrained,
austere, Bordeaux-like style. Some sweet oak is present (about 80% new oak
casks are used), and the wine suggests longevity, although I am not sure
the requisite concentration is present for aging beyond 10-12 years.
This is a well-made, unflashy, polite offering.

and was mouth-filling, rich and rewarding. Visit this again in another 10 years.

D'ARENBERG 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon COPPERMINE ROAD 93 POINTS ROBERT PARKER....$80.00 ...

One of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons produced in South Australia is d’Arenberg’s
Coppermine Road. The colossal 2001 The Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits
an opaque purple color in addition to a gorgeous perfume of lead pencil shavings
intermixed with blackberry and cassis fruit, vanilla, Asian spices, and white
flowers. Still primary and young, with great intensity as well as tremendous upside
potential, it requires 5-6 more years of aging, after which it will last for two
decades.

D'ARENBERG 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon COPPERMINE ROAD 93 POINTS ROBERT PARKER ....$80.00 ...

The 2002 The Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a sweet perfume of
roasted herbs, black currants, blackberries, lead pencil shavings, and background
oak. Full-bodied and structured, it is just a notch below the quality of the 2003.
Drink it over the next 12+ years.

This is the best Coppermine we’ve made. This wine has a deep dark vibrant colour. The nose shows intense blackcurrant
and cranberry fruit, and subtle cedary cinnamon spice, barrel-ferment and oak derived aromas, violet and mint scents,
as well as liquorice and chocolate smells.

ELDERTON 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon ASHMEAD 93 POINTS ROBERT PARKER....$100.00 ...
The 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a single vineyard, the 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon
Ashmead (produced from 78-year old vines) is great stuff. Its saturated purple
color is accompanied by scents of toasty new oak intermixed with black cherry
liqueur, creme de cassis, creosote, and vanilla. This voluptuous, layered,
opulent Cabernet is a full-throttle, Australian version of a French Pomerol.
The finish lasts for 50+ seconds. Still primary/youthful, with tremendous upside
potential, it can be drunk now, but should be even better in 4-5 years. It will
last for 12-15 years, possibly longer

ELDERTON 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon ASHMEAD 88 POINTS ROBERT PARKER....$100.00 ...

The wood component was slightly excessive in the 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon Ashmead.
Elderton has gotten better over recent years in integrating the wood into their
reds, so it was surprising that this wine was dominated by creamy, vanilla
milkshake-like flavours that nearly concealed its black currant fruit. With medium
to full body, moderate tannin, and a chunky/chubby character, it should age nicely
for 7-8 years.
Produced from 78 year old vines

GREENOCK CREEK 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon 86 POINTS ROBERT PARKER....$100.00 ...

The 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon, although made from frightfully low yields
of .67 tons of fruit per acre, is more monolithic and less juicy/succulent
than previous examples. A dark ruby/purple color is accompanied by a closed,
monolithic (at least when I tasted it) Cabernet with plenty of depth as well
as austere tannin in the short finish. Nevertheless, it is a competent, but
expensive effort.

GREENOCK CREEK 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon ....$100.00 ...

GREENOCK CREEK 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon 92 POINTS ROBERT PARKER....$100.00 ...

Produced from 15-year-old vines, the elegant, still primary and grapy
2002 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals notes of black currants, cassis, liquid
minerals, and subtle wood in its rich, intense, medium to full-bodied
personality. It should hit its prime in 2-3 years, and last for 10-15.

GREENOCK CREEK 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon ....$100.00 ...

A sleeper offering is the 2003 Cabernet, an old French oak-aged 100%
Cabernet Sauvignon. I have been drinking up my stash of the 1997, and it
remains very young at ten years of age. Made from 15-year-old vines with
yields of 1.5 tons of fruit per acre, it offers beautiful sweet black
currant fruit interwoven with notions of cherries, road tar, cedar, and
spice box. It would be interesting to insert this classic, top-flight
Cabernet Sauvignon in a blind tasting of the finest Bordeaux. A beautiful
full-bodied texture and sweet tannin suggest it will keep for 10-15 years.

GREENOCK CREEK 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon ROENNFELDT 100 POINTS ROBERT PARKER ....$650.00 ...

Since availability is extremely restricted, I’ll keep my notes brief for
the limited production (approximately 60 cases), perfect 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon
Roennfeldt Road. It is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made from a 60-year-old
vineyard that spent three years in neutral French oak. The wine possesses
the concentration of the greatest classics ever produced in such Bordeaux vintages
as 1945, 1947, 1959, 1961, and 1982. This is a full-bodied red with a finish
that lasts well over 60 seconds. For its size and concentration, it is,
surprisingly, not heavy, just super-endowed. The Cabernet Sauvignon needs
2-3 more years of cellaring, and should drink well for two decades.
Unfortunately, quantities are extremely limited for this spectacular,
world-class Australian red.

elegantly structured. Super wine. 96 points. Now – 2035. Andrew Caillard MW/James Halliday

Our tasting note 8/8/2014 Robyn & John

Beautiful cork - as new with no sediment - cork stain 0.5mm
Intense, dense colour. Nose of black currants and chocolate. And then the palate -
its just a pup (definitely not the political, kind).
Absolutely mouthfilling flavours of cassis, dark berries, fine tannins.
It overwhelms the taste buds, and just lingers deliciously for a very - long - time.

Tasting note from:- Andrew Caillard MW/James Halliday

Medium colour. Intense and classical cassis, vanilla and tobacco
leaf aromas. Elegant and powerful with saturated cassis flavours, plentiful
chocolaty dry tannins, superb mid-palate richness and fruit complexity. Underlying
paneforte notes. Minerally and fruit sweet at the finish. Not as plush as 1998, but in
some ways more classically and sinuously structured. Will last forever. 96 points.

The sort of wine you could easily love forever without getting into bed. Just
take it to diner & swoon. Complex-boot polish & sweet syrupy blackcurrant &
off cuttings of oak on nose, it's fleshy & immensely stylish on the palate, with
diamond cut cassis & plum skiing through a very long palate. Tense and
powerful but not overly dense. Voluptuous but mannered -stylist's wine and

ROBERT PARKER REVIEW
Simultaneously concentrated, focused and wonderfully opulent in its
overt strength of deep fruit mirrored by substantial oak, the wine
simply reeks of squashed ripe berries, mint and creamy, slightly
varnishy oak. Massively proportioned, the palate is a powerful mix of
mouth filling black fruits, chocolate oak and enormous, balanced tannins.
A definitive Australian red. (19.4, Drink 2010+) 97/100 Jeremy Oliver, On Wine

We still carry good stocks in our maturation cellar
This Cabernet was pulled from the cellar to see just how good those wine
judges were back in 1993 - three of us savoured the wine over a great meal.

REVIEW JANUARY 2005:

"We approached this 13 year old wine with some trepidation, but there was no need.
It had a lovely colour, it was vibrant, it was smooth and mouth filling.
Despite its years there was no doubt that it was a Cabernet Sauvignon, with strong
but clean berry flavour that lingered on, without any hint of the port overtones that
sometimes accompany aged Australian reds. All in all a terrific, aged Coonawarra red
with good acid that promised further development and improvement under correct cellaring
conditions." Danny Scorpecci back from Paris for a short break where he has accumulated
a vast experience of some of the France's best wines and districts over the past seven years.

"NEW UPDATE 10/1/2007 - Danny back in Canberra for a visit. We opened another 1991 at Anise
Restaurant. None of us at the table, nor the waiter could believe how good the wine was -
total youth on it's side, chocolate jumped out of the glass and we lingered over our
proportions which seemed like hours. The waiter has decided to move his collection to our
maturation cellar, at 12.5 deg C is just unbelievable cellaring - stain on the cork was a mere
1/16th of an inch. The waiter added:- This is so fresh, you could keep it another 10 years. "
John and Robyn

P.S. Danny said "If someone offered me a $150 for this bottle, they could keep it,

I would rather drink the wine"

REVIEWED OCTOBER 2005: Deep burgundy colour with subtle berries and sweet wood. Palate was fresh,
harmonious and in perfect balance. Like essence - a tiny drop on the tongue fills the
mouth with delightful cabernet flavours that last and last with nuances of mulberries,
dark plums and cigar box. At least another five years. VALUE PLUS. Moreishness 6/6.

REVIEWED OCTOBER 2005

We have had this wine since release and has been under constant climate
controlled 12.5 deg C maturation. The wine is in outstanding condition with
WINE LEVEL ALMOST AT THE CORK. It is undervalued at this price. 1996 was a
great year. Please see cork above and you will note NO staining of sides
of cork. PERFECT. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This wine's low-keyed, restrained aromatics and flavors may prove more

acidity, a lemony/citrusy nose, with spicy oak in the background.

We shared a wonderful experience tonight (August 2014). I cooked some fresh
Jew Fish to accompany this bottle. The cork was stubborn. We decanted the wine
and gave it some exposure to air. The colour was rich gold. The nose, faintly marmalade.
The palate, rich rounded, buttery, toasty, some hints of white peach and mandarin.
The lingering memory is of liqueur marmalade, and there's no way we could leave anything in the bottle.

Sorry Doctor, I had more than one glass tonight! 6.3 ROBYN

The palate is voluptuously rich with layers of intense, ripe Chardonnay flav-
ours. Quince, fig & cantaloupe nuances coat the tongue & are complexed by
spicy, cinnamon-like oak. A vibrant back-bone of acidity is a feature of the
wine, helping to balance the rich fruit flavours & ensuring further bottle dev-
elopment. The aftertaste of ripe Chardonnay fruit lingers on & on. A Chardon-
nay destined for greatness.

(from vines averaging 64 years of age) exhibits a dark ruby/plum color as well as
a big, rich bouquet of raspberries, candied cherries, licorice, herbs, and pepper.
Medium to full-bodied and voluptuous, it is ideal for drinking over the next
5-7 years

GREENOCK CREEK 2004 Grenache CORNERSTONE 91 POINTS ROBERT PARKER ....$85.00 ...

From 60-year-old vines, the 2004 Grenache Cornerstone (which was aged in
old French wood) reveals plenty of power and potency (16% alcohol), yet comes
across as elegant, restrained, and almost feminine. Its deep ruby color is
followed by a sweet perfume of black cherries, loamy soils, crushed pepper,
and a southern Rhone Valley floral-like character. With superb purity, texture,
and definition, this full-bodied yet light on its feet beauty can be enjoyed

94 POINTS ROBERT PARKER
A wine of extraordinary aromatic complexity and finesse, this sweet effort
possesses a dark ruby color with a pink rim. Once past the gloriously
complex aromatics (blueberries, black currants, minerals, and underbrush),
the wine reveals terrific fruit intensity, excellent harmony, medium body,
sweet tannin, and a long finish. This superb, elegant 1982 has achieved
full maturity, but it promises to last for another 15+ years.
