Listed prices are per bottle
when buying a full unbroken case. However, we will mix a dozen
bottle case as long as you order a minimum of 3 bottles of any
one wine unless a higher minimum prevails. You can also add single
bottle purchases from the "Museum Cellared Wine" list to make up
a dozen.
We send in cases of 12 bottles, any less please contact for freight
costs. A 15% discount for exports applies to the wines > $15 in this
list. Prices are ex our warehouse.

the quantity required. Our PRICES are about 20% below RETAIL, even more in some cases.

Aroma:- Distinctively perfumed with lemon grass, tropical passionfruit and flashes of
spice. Palate:- Assertive and strongly varietal. Soft, fruit driven with ripe gooseberry,
pink grapefruit and lemon citrus. The generous fruit flavours are balanced by natural
grape acid which also aids in providing structure and length to the palate. The finish
is both long and clean.
Winemakers comments
This years Alta Sauvignon Blanc is a typically delicious example of wine made from
exceptional cooler climate fruit. The wine is full of varietal flavour making it
very approachable now, but with suitable storage will remain fresh and attractive
for several years. I hope that you will agree that the wine is very satisfying and
highly versatile with food.

TASTING NOTES:
Cut grass and fresh crisp apple dominate the aroma. Although quite herbaceous, complex citrus and melon fruit characters are evident. The palate is clean and delicate
showing flavours of melon, pear and lime. These flavours last well in the mouth due to well-balanced acid providing length of flavour. This wine should be served
slightly chilled and consumed early in its life.
The aroma is alive with intense varietal fruit characters ranging from grassy through to tropical fruits, displaying the full spectrum of McLaren Vale's regional
qualities.

Fresh Oysters, Fennel Salad, Vegetable or Seafood Pizza.
WINEMAKER'S COMMENTS:
Sauvignon Blanc is one of my favourite varieties. McLaren Vale is not as renowned for it's whites as reds (although it should be!) as Mc Laren Vale Sauvignon Blanc can
display both the gooseberry and tropical fruit characters which gives the wine extra dimension and added complexity.

the Ned is the latest Sauvignon Blanc from Brent Marris ( previous
owner and still winemaker for Wither Hills) is named after the
summit of Marlborough at 909 meters above sea level. An impressive
Marlborough icon, the Ned is an abiding symbol of "The Summit of Marlborough".
Brent says " I have created this amazing wine, packed with ripe
herbaceous notes, underpinned with a striking hint of citrus.
The cold nights of the 2006 vintage have particularly cemented its
intense flavours.
